Producer Wanted - Feature Film
We are currently seeking an experienced Producer to join Love in the Moonlight as it transitions from proof of concept into a fully realised feature film.
Love in the Moonlight is a romantic, Old Hollywood inspired ghost story with strong audience appeal and clear commercial potential.
About The Project
The proof of concept starring Matty Wilson and Cassidy Krygger has been completed and released, receiving strong audience response and industry interest.
The feature film is now in development, with key creative attached and a clear pathway toward funding, packaging, and distribution.
We’re looking for a Producer who:
• Has credits across indie features or high quality short films
• Has experience working with screen funding bodies
• Has engaged with platforms such as Netflix, Stan, or similar buyers
• Brings strong industry relationships and commercial instinct
• Understands both traditional distribution and emerging pathways, including platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Tubi
Who We Are Looking For
• Proof of concept completed and released, with strong audience response and clear feature expansion
• Co-led by filmmaker Cassidy Krygger - founder of Hollywoodland Photos, reaching a global audience of millions of classic film lovers and bringing a built-in platform for the project
• Starring Matty Wilson (Neighbours), offering recognisable talent and international audience reach
• Developed with writer/director Jonathan Zsofi - Executive Director of the Cineverse Film Festival, whose work has screened across every continent and earned hundreds of awards for direction and genre filmmaking. Zsofi brings extensive industry experience across high level productions, having worked with companies including RSA Films and Disney.
• A distinct, marketable concept: a romantic, Old Hollywood inspired ghost story designed to stand out across both festival and streaming landscapes
• A creative team already generating audience interest, now seeking the right producing partner to scale the project into a feature
• Positioned for both traditional funding pathways (including Screen Australia and state agencies) and direct-to-market distribution opportunities
Why This Project?
The Role
This is a packaging, finance, and sales-focused Producer role.
You will play a key role in shaping the project’s next phase, including:
• Developing a top level budget and finance strategy
• Leading funding pathways, including engagement with organisations such as Screen Australia and relevant state agencies
• Guiding market positioning (festivals, platforms, buyers)
• Driving sales strategy and facilitating introductions to agents, distributors, and partners
